A parish is a faith community within a diocese, which usually has its own church building and is served by a pastor who is responsible for services. Most parishes worldwide are formed on a geographical basis.  A deanery is a regional cluster of parishes within a diocese, working together on common ministries.  A deanery has the role of fostering coordination between its parishes, joint planning of key elements of pastoral life and mission, and sharing of resources. Across the Diocese of Bunbury there are twenty seven parishes that are grouped into three geographical deaneries.
